American Heart Association Certification Classes
More than 3.5 million people in the United States suffer from out-of-hospital cardiac arrest yearly, and just 12 percent survive. However, statistics show that we can save more lives if more people know CPR. Immediate Cardiopulmonary resuscitation doubles, or even triples, the chance of the victim’s survival.
The American Heart Association standards are recommended for all certified and licensed healthcare practitioners and other personnel who want to learn how to perform CPR Classes and other basic cardiovascular life support skills. These certification classes teach individuals how to perform CPR individually or as a team, using foreign-body airway obstruction (choking) techniques and an automated external defibrillator (AED). Essential Life Support (BLS) students learn different rescue techniques for adults, infants, and children.
